![]() Built Better – Built Green
Boxwell Construction has always strived to provide superior quality and energy efficiency. Long before “Green” became a buzzword, Boxwell was figuring out ways to maximize the energy efficiency of homes we were building. We were spraying in polyurethane foam and installing solar systems in the early 1970’s. Quality construction is the key to energy efficiency. It takes quality materials and careful attention to detail to insulate properly and maintain the integrity of your home’s thermal envelope. Other standard features of Boxwell homes include: high efficiency (92%) closed combustion heating systems which use less fuel and improve indoor air quality and engineered wood framing materials that use natural resources more efficiently and give you a superior quality home. We also offer many green options including renewable energy systems such as solar and geothermal, heat recovery ventilation systems to insure indoor air quality and energy efficient appliances and lighting. Your home is inspected by the building authority for code compliance at each phase. “Meeting code’ assures you of a minimum level of quality and safety. Over the years, we at Boxwell have refined our construction techniques and compiled a detailed checklist inspection that every home must pass. This is an inspection performed by Boxwell employees to insure that your home meets a higher standard. Today, every home that Boxwell Construction builds meets the Built Green Colorado and the EPA’s Energy Star standards. Third party “Built Green” certification of your home is available through several Energy Rating firms that we work with.
